Clever implementation of modern technology can bring massive benefits to companies and is often the difference between bust or boom. During CFO South Africa’s annual Digital Transformation Breakfast on 15 September 2016 (7h00) we tap into the incredible experience of CFOs Christine Ramon (AngloGold Ashanti) and Wayne Koonin (Omnia) to explore the risks and opportunities a tech savvy finance team can create.

Regarded as one of South Africa's best CFOs, one of Christine's first acts after she started at AngloGold Ashanti was to take responsibility for IT and move the shared services from Australia to South Africa. It provided her with support services where she needed them, yielded massive cost savings and paved the way for a future of value realization and continuous improvement.

The massive transformation Christine accomplished didn't go unnoticed and the panel of judges for the 2016 CFO Awards voted for her as winner of the prestigious Finance & Technology Awards. On 15 September she'll share some of the things she has learned dealing with massive IT projects at AngloGold Ashanti - and previously at Sasol.
Christine will be joined on the CFO panel by Wayne Koonin, perhaps one of the country's most tech-savvy CFOs of the moment. After he joined Omnia as group finance director at Omnia a few years ago, he identified the need to revisit the Group IT strategy and legacy EPR systems. This is now paying dividend, as it is making the business more efficient and is paying for itself in savings and improved financial performance.
"The new IT system has set the tone for the whole business. It created cohesion and momentum around a core part of our strategy and vision." - Wayne Koonin
Besides Christine and Wayne, special guests include Standard Bank CIO Brendon Wilson and Oracle's Sarah George. KPMG, Oracle and Standard Bank are the principal partners for the event.
