Debbie Ransby, former finance director of Takeda, has been appointed as its managing director.
Debbie Ransby has been appointed as the permanent managing director of Takeda since July 2018, after being appointed as acting managing director in 2017.
The 2017 Moving into Africa Award winner has been with Takeda since 2008. She began her career at PwC, where numerous dealings with clients such as Pharmacare, Aspen and Ingelheim led her to pursue an interest in healthcare. She assumed a managerial position with GlaxoSmithKline, rising to senior finance manager in her seven years with the pharmaceutical company.
She joined Takeda in 2008 as a finance director and in 2017 she was also appointed as acting managing director.
Debbie is a qualified chartered accountant (SA) and has a CTA degree from UNISA.
