enX Group appoints former Safika Holdings CFO Babalwa Ngonyama to board

Babalwa will serve as an independent non-executive director and chair of the audit and risk committee.

On Friday 19 July, enX Group announced the appointment of former Safika Holdings CFO Babalwa Ngonyama as an independent non-executive director and chair of the audit and risk committee with immediate effect. 

Ngonyama is currently the CEO of Sinayo Securities, a women-owned and managed business. Previously she served as the group chief internal auditor of Nedbank

She is a qualified CA(SA) with an MBA. She sits on the board and audit committee of Aspen, Hollard Life and Insurance, Vukile Property Fund and Clover. She is also a lead independent director of Implats.

enX also announced the appointment of Gary Neubert as acting CEO with immediate effect. 

Neubert will be taking over from Steven Joffe, who has taken early retirement as both CEO and executive director with immediate effect.

In the statement, the board welcomed both Ngonyama and Neubert and thanked Joffe for his contribution to the company.
