Carmini will be taking over from Aarti Takoordeen in an acting role until a new CFO has been appointed.

The Johannesburg Stock Exchange has announced that its head of commercial finance, Carmini Kander, will be assuming the role of acting CFO from 20 May, until a permanent appointment to the CFO role has been made.

This follows news that its current CFO, Aarti Takoordeen, will be leaving the stock exchange to join AECI as its new CFO. Aarti’s resignation will also come into effect from 20 May, and will see her step down from all her existing roles and responsibilities with the JSE.

In a statement, the stock exchange expressed its “sincere appreciation” for Aarti’s service and commitment over the past nine years and wished her well in the future.

Carmini has been with the group since Feb 2013, when she joined as the head of financial planning and analysis, procurement and investor relations. Prior to this, she served in various head of finance positions at Standard Bank and Edcon.
