Spear Reit CFO Christiaan Barnard nominated for 2025 CFO Awards

Christiaan Barnard, the CFO of Spear Reit, has joined the list of nominees for the 2025 CFO Awards.

Christiaan’s efforts as the CFO of Spear Reit has put him in the running for the annual “Oscars of Finance”.

Christiaan, a qualified CA, was appointed CFO of Spear Reit in August 2016.

He is responsible for overseeing the financial functions for the entire Spear Reit Group and related operations.

Prior to joining Spear, he completed his articles at PKF and went on to work at Grant Thornton as an audit senior. Christiaan joined Spear Reit after leaving Grant Thornton LLP (Dallas) during which time he gained experience in audit practices in various industries including software development and support, oil and gas production and property.

The 2025 CFO Awards, which recognises exceptional financial leadership and performance, will take place on 11 November at the prestigious Polo Room in Sandton.
