Verina Mohanlal has been appointed as NTT Data’s new head of financial services industry for their Middle East and Africa division.

Verina Mohanlal has been appointed as NTT Data’s new head of financial services industry for their Middle East and Africa division.

In her new role, Verina is expected to lead efforts to drive excellence in the financial services sector through cutting-edge technology services, including applications and cloud solutions.

Verina has over 16 years of experience in the financial industry. She started her career in finance in 2009 at Standard Bank, where she spent almost eight years working as a process engineer.

She then joined Accenture in 2016 as a managing consultant for four years. She was then promoted to senior manager of financial services in 2020, where she spent four years before leaving for her new position at NTT Data.

The NTT Data team voiced confidence regarding Verina’s appointment, saying that they anticipate opportunities for growth in their financial services industry under Verina’s leadership throughout MEA.

Expressing excitement about her new role, Verina said, “I’m thrilled to join NTT Data and work alongside multi-disciplinary teams to shape the future of financial services in the MEA region by bringing industry insights, trends and innovative solutions to the table.”

She also demonstrated optimism in her new capacity, stating, “I aim to collaborate with our clients to deliver value, solving business challenges with the right blend of solutions, thereby helping our clients drive their strategic imperatives.”
