Kevin Jacoby is the CFO of the City of the Cape Town, a position he has held since 2012. He has over three decades of experience in public sector finance.
Before joining the City of Cape Town, Kevin served as CFO of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and the Amathole District Municipality. His earlier roles include town treasurer at Stutterheim TLC, financial director at Water and Sanitation Services, and various financial roles in local government, beginning as an audit clerk in Queenstown Municipality in 1990.
Kevin holds a master of commerce in economics from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, where he also completed his honours in economics. His professional development includes a certificate in management development for municipal finance through the National Treasury. He is a fellow of the Institute of Municipal Finance Officers and was admitted as a chartered government finance officer in 2019.
