Mikaeel Tayob is now the Regional CFO at at Bridgestone Middle East & Africa FZE after being the FD at Bridgestone South Africa since July 2023. He has been with the company since 2021, when he joined as a head of finance, responsible for the consumer and commercial divisions. He was appointed to serve on the board of directors in May 2022.
Before Bridgestone, Mikaeel held various financial lead roles at Nike, including head of FP&A for EMEA East, head of financial governance and control for EMEA East, and head of risk and compliance for Africa, Middle East.
He started his finance career at KPMG as an audit associate and later moved into more senior roles, including board advisory.
Mikaeel holds a CIA designation, a certification in control self assessment, an MPhil degree in corporate strategy from GIBS Business School and a BCom Internal Auditing (Honours) degree from the University of Pretoria.
For his work as the FD of Bridgestone South Africa, Mikaeel has been nominated for the 2024 CFO Awards.
