Dr Sandile Mnguni, the CFO of eThekwini municipality, has joined the list of nominees for the 2025 CFO Awards.
Sandile’s work as the CFO of eThekwini Municipality has put him in the running for the annual “Oscars of Finance”.
He has served as the chief financial officer of eThekwini municipality since August 2021 and prior to this held the position of group CFO at Ithala Development Finance Corporation (IDFC) for over two years. Whilst group CFO at IDFC, he also served as acting group executive of corporate services at IDFC from August 2019 to May 2020 and acting group chief information officer from August 2020 to January 2021.
The annual CFO Awards celebrate excellence in financial leadership, recognising CFOs from listed companies, major corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions for their exceptional performance and strategic vision.
This year’s awards ceremony will be held on 11 November at the Polo Room, Inanda Club, during a glamorous black-tie gala dinner.
