Nilisha Padayachee has been nominated for the 2026 CFO Awards for her role as chief financial officer at Bidvest McCarthy.
Nilisha joins a cohort of finance leaders competing across nine award categories, including the headline CFO of the Year title.
Nilisha stepped into the chief financial officer role at Bidvest McCarthy following a stint as group financial manager at the company.
She has also served as group financial accountant at Bidvest McCarthy and trustee for the Bidvest Pension Fund.
She began her career as an audit trainee at Deloitte and later moved to Bidvest McCarthy, building a career that now spans over 15 years in finance.
Nilisha holds a BCom honours and a BCom in accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), among other certifications.
Dubbed the “Oscars of Finance”, the CFO Awards continues to celebrate leaders who raise the bar for people leadership in South Africa across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.
The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 26 November, where winners across multiple categories, including the CFO of the Year title, will be announced.
