CFO D’Shorne Human nominated for 2023 CFO Awards

SAFCOL CFO D’Shorne Human joins the list of leaders competing for the CFO of the Year title.

The South African Forestry Company (SAFCOL) CFO D’Shorne Human has been nominated for the 2023 CFO Awards.

He joins the list of nominees who will be competing for the coveted CFO of the Year title, at the annual “Oscars of Finance”, which is now entering its 10th year!

The CFO Awards have a proud history of recognising and celebrating excellence. The 10th Annual CFO Awards will be an exceptional celebration of the finest in finance of 2023, but will also shine a spotlight on 10 years of winners, recognising the enormous contribution made by finance leaders to the economy and direction of South Africa for the last decade.

D’Shorne was appointed CFO of SAFCOL in April 2021. He was also CFO of Pearlstock Holdings and Trafigura’s Mawson West Limited. Before that, he was the head of finance for Ampcontrol and the group financial manager of Total Coal South Africa. He worked at Deloitte, BHP Billiton and ALSTOM each for three years.

He is a qualified chartered accountant (SA), associate chartered management accountant (UK) and chartered global management accountant (US).

D’Shorne has a BCom honours in accounting science from the University of Pretoria and a master’s degree from the Manchester Metropolitan University.
