Former Woolworths CFO Reeza Isaacs will take over the chief financial officer role at Spar
From 1 January 2025, Reeza Isaacs will join Spar as group chief financial officer and also serve as board executive director.
The appointment follows the news of former CFO and board executive director, Mark Godfrey's retirement from the company on 31 December 2024.
Reeza is a member of the risk and compliance committee and is currently serving as a member of the council and chair of the University of Cape Town's finance committee. In April 2024, Reeza was appointed as an independent non-executive director and member of the audit committee of Hyprop Investments.
In the retail industry, Reeza has served on the audit committees of Woolworths South Africa, David Jones and Country Road. He was also Woolworths's deputy CFO and finance director from 2013 to 2023.
Reeza is a qualified chartered accountant with a BCom in accounting and a PGDA degree from the University of Cape Town.
He was awarded the 2016 CFO of the Year Award.
