Mikateko has been nominated for her work as the VP of finance, Africa, at Unilever.

Mikateko Tshetshe has been nominated for the 2021 CFO Awards for the work she has done as the VP of finance, Africa, at Unilever.

At the annual “Oscars for South African finance professionals”, which is now entering its seventh year, CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions are recognised and rewarded for their outstanding performance and leadership.

Mikateko is qualified as a fellow with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in the UK and holds a BCom accounting and business management degree from Unisa. She started her career as a trainee at Bayer.

She joined Unilever Southern Africa in 2017 as VP of finance, before being promoted to her current role in 2018. Prior to joining Unilever, she was the CFO for AstraZeneca’s sub-Saharan Africa and South Africa regions, and previously spent 12 years in the FMCG industry at SC Johnson.
