The Transaction Capital CFO joins other finance leaders on the list of this year’s CFO Awards nominees.
Sean Doherty has been nominated for the 2022 CFO Awards for his work as the CFO of Transaction Capital. He joins the list of finance leaders who will be competing for the CFO of the Year title.
At the annual “Oscars for South African finance professionals”, which is now entering its eighth year, CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions are recognised and rewarded for their outstanding performance and leadership.

Sean was appointed CFO of Transaction Capital in June 2019. Prior to this he worked at Standard Bank in a number of positions including head of new business innovation and ventures, and CFO and COO of Investment Banking. He also ran his own consultancy for a year.
Sean served his articles at Deloitte before being promoted to manager in the corporate finance division. He also worked at FirstRand and JP Morgan in London. He has an MBA from IE and a BCom Honours from the University of Johannesburg.
