MTN Group’s Tsholofelo Molefe joins the list of finance executives competing for the CFO of the Year title.

MTN Group CFO Tsholofelo Molefe has been nominated for the 2023 CFO Awards.

She joins the list of nominees who will be competing for the coveted CFO of the Year title, at the annual “Oscars of Finance”, which is now entering its 10th year!

The CFO Awards have a proud history of recognising and celebrating excellence. The 10th Annual CFO Awards will be an exceptional celebration of the finest in finance of 2023, but will also shine a spotlight on 10 years of winners, recognising the enormous contribution made by finance leaders to the economy and direction of South Africa for the last decade.

Tsholofelo joined MTN Group in April 2021 as the group CFO. Prior to joining MTN, she was the group CFO of Telkom SA. She joined Telkom in 2016 as deputy CFO, and was promoted in 2018 after briefly serving as the company’s chief risk and compliance officer.

Before that, Tsholofelo climbed the ranks at Eskom, starting as a general manager of finance and business support in the power utility’s transmission division in 2005, then joining the group executive committee as the group executive for the customer services division, and finally being promoted to FD in 2014.

She had a short career journey with FNB’s personal banking segment as the CFO in the consumer segment unit. Prior to this, she was an audit manager at Absa Group and an assistant audit manager at Liberty Group, respectively.
