Vodacom Group CFO Raisibe Morathi has been nominated for the 2023 CFO Awards.

She joins the list of nominees who will be competing for the coveted CFO of the Year title, at the annual “Oscars of Finance”, which is now entering its 10th year!

The CFO Awards have a proud history of recognising and celebrating excellence. The 10th Annual CFO Awards will be an exceptional celebration of the finest in finance of 2023, but will also shine a spotlight on 10 years of winners, recognising the enormous contribution made by finance leaders to the economy and direction of South Africa for the last decade.

Raisibe has been serving as the group CFO of Vodacom since 1 November 2020. Prior to this, she served as the CFO at Nedbank, where she was charged with driving transformation in the bank’s financial position. With more than 26 years in the financial services and insurance industries, she has served in a number of senior positions with her experience spanning banking and insurance both in the private sector and a stint in public sector. Her experience also spans across the entire African continent and now working for Vodacom Group, this also gives her a well sought after global footprint as part of Vodafone’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Raisibe is a qualified CA (SA) with a certificate in advanced management from INSEAD in France, a Masters in Philosophy from GIBS, University of Pretoria and a higher diploma in taxation from Wits University.

She currently serves on the panel of judges for the CHRO Awards – a role that she has found interesting given that it is a professional group outside her typical community of finance leaders.
