CFO Joy Malete has joined the group of nominees for the 2025 CFO Awards.
Joy's efforts as the CFO of Discovery Health Medical Scheme have put her in the running for the annual “Oscars of Finance”.
Joy has been the CFO of Discovery Health Medical Scheme since April 2021. Before that, she was the director of controllership at Visa for four years. She also served as a finance strategy consultant for Ambani Africa for two years, coinciding with both these roles.
Joy started her career at Deloitte South Africa as a trainee accountant/ auditor at the firm. After that, she served in various finance and finance management roles within STANLIB.
The 2025 CFO Awards, which recognises exceptional financial leadership and performance, will take place on 11 November at the prestigious Polo Room in Sandton.
