Glen has been nominated for his work as the CFO of Sappi Europe South Africa.
Glen Pearce has been nominated for the 2021 CFO Awards for the work he has done as the CFO of Sappi Europe South Africa.
At the annual “Oscars for South African finance professionals”, which is now entering its seventh year, CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions are recognised and rewarded for their outstanding performance and leadership.
Glen is a qualified CA(SA) and holds a BCom degree from the University of Witwatersrand, as well as a BCom honours degree from Unisa.
He completed his articles at EY and started his career as a group accountant and finance manager for Murray and Roberts. He then joined Sappi as a financial manager in 1997 and later became the financial manager of Sappi Forest Products. He was promoted to FD of Sappi Fine Paper South Africa in 2001 and moved to Brussels in 2004 to become accounting director for Sappi Fine Paper Europe. He was appointed to his current role in 2008.
