Marinella Vigouroux has taken over from Kevin Johnson as CFO of Howden Africa. The finance department is not only a source of information but key to the business strategy and operational success of a company, she says.
When asked what she has achieved since taking over the role, Marinella said:
"I was appointed just as we embarked on the financial year end process. On reflection over the past two months I would say one of the key achievements in my role thus far has been the smooth transition by the team to the change of leadership and the successful year end process.
Marinella says her plans for the department this year including building on the key strengths of the individuals in the department, developing the finance leads technical and leadership skills and promote further operational understanding, and improving efficiencies within the department to provide additional operational value and promote growth in the business.
"When you have laid a solid foundation for your employees to be successful in what they do, I believe it makes you a success," she says.
