Purple Group signs up for Finance Indaba 2017
Purple Group has become the first gold partner to join Finance Indaba 2017, after a successful showing at this year’s event. Headed by CEO Charles Savage, the group offers accessible investing and trading solutions for the man on the street, from fully managed investment solutions to DIY trading and investment platforms.
Purple Group consists of four business units: online investment platform EasyEquities, GT247.com for online trading, GT Private Broking and Emperor Asset Management, which offers unit trusts and tax-free investment solutions.
EasyEquities was the overall winner of the 2016 African FinTech Awards at the Finance Indaba in October. The revolutionary platform allows anyone to invest in the JSE by accepting fractional investments in popular shares as small as R10 for 65c per transaction. Investors have been signing up in their droves over the past year.
It also scooped the honours in the InvestTech category, beating property-trading platform WealthMigrate and daily investment forecast vehicle I Know First to the award.
The African FinTech Awards celebrate innovators that shape the future of finance, and acknowledges the work these companies are doing to have a positive impact on their target markets. The nominees were chosen by a panel of industry experts, stakeholders and investors from all over the world, who selected the three finalists in six categories to deliver their pitch at the Indaba.
The Finance Indaba is the biggest annual event on the continent for financial managers and specialists who are seeking partnerships to drive progress. Thousands of delegates will gain valuable insights into realising financial performance and growth, becoming more efficient and accessing funding, among a host of other opportunities from leading players in financial services.
