PPC has announced the appointment of Ronel van Dijk as its permanent CFO. She has been serving as interim CFO since 1 November 2019.

About her appointment, Ronel said:

It is certainly very different from my Spur days and thus a great learning experience. The executive team has been very supportive and made the transition seamless and comfortable, which I am grateful for.  I am also able to share my knowledge and experience with my respective teams who share my passion and energy. Looking ahead, I am excited to continue with the implementation and execution of various initiatives commenced with during the past few months and as such, I hope to make a contribution to ensure that the legacy of the company can continue well into the future. This will also afford me the opportunity to grow and learn."

Ronel qualified as a CA(SA) in December 1997 and spent a year working in the London office of Arthur Anderson & Co after that. After returning to Cape Town, she joined Spur Corporation and filled the role of CFO and COO. During her time with Spur, she founded the Spur Foundation. She left Spur in March 2018 and was appointed as a non-executive director and audit and risk committee member of GPI and Adcorp Holdings in December 2018 and June 2019 respectively.
