In 2014 CFO South Africa piloted the CFO Awards, this year we launched a massive partnership with KPMG and next year is going to see the Sandton Convention Centre's doors open for the first ever Finance Indaba. "The difference between success and failure is often determined by the quality of the finance team and processes," says CFO South Africa's founding director Melle Eijckelhoff, who has a long track record of landmark finance events in Europe and is now working tirelessly to make the Finance Indaba a massive success.

Finance is not alone, but can use the help of many suppliers, tools and platforms. There is a whole service industry and they too are becoming more professional. "It is okay again to invest in the finance function, whereas the emphasis used to be on efficiency. However, there is so much out there, you can imagine for a finance team it can be hard to see it all," says Melle.
"That is why we decided to organise a Finance Indaba, a massive expo where we expect over 5000 finance professionals attending and a conference which will be entirely based on the agenda of the CFO."
Confirmed partners for the Finance Indaba are KPMG, Old Mutual, Moneyweb and Sage One, but all big professional accounting bodies and service providers for finance professionals are expected to be present in some shape or form. This is going to me an event that you simply cannot miss if you have any interest in the finance space in (South) Africa! "Finance Indaba Africa offers the unique opportunity to showcase services and products for a relevant audience of influencers and decision makers," says Melle. "It doesn't often happen that you meet 1000s of potential clients in one go."
