Founded by author and radio personality Victor Kgomoeswana and actuary Lerato Mahlangu, PowerMani is a firm that encourages a culture of investing and saving among young South Africans. It wants to help create a new generation of financially savvy young professionals and smash stereotypes around people with disadvantaged backgrounds.
"Our vision is to reduce debt and increase investments. We aim to break the stereotype of 'lack' that people often associate with someone coming from a so-called previously disadvantaged background. We want a social movement that everyone and anyone can participate in at any given time."" says Lerato.
The Finance Indaba is the biggest annual event on the continent for financial managers and specialists who are seeking partnerships to drive progress.
